Your teeth are white ? How to keep them white ? Food and Drinks to consume and others to avoid

How to keep your teeth white ?

To maintain the whiteness of your teeth you should take care of your teeth the same way that you take care of  your skin, be sure to clean your teeth regularly and accurately by brushing them gently but firmly to the bottom of the jaw.

How:

1 .  choosing the toothbrush:  you should choose a medium toothbrush which is not too harsh nor too soft, but if you have strong teeth choose a hard-bristle toothbrush and if your gum is sensitive chose a soft one.

2. You must brush your teeth three times a day, so you must clean your teeth in the morning and in the afternoon and at the evening and after every meal to get rid of the food leftovers between your teeth and keep your mouth smelling good.

What to do:

Eating certain foods and avoiding others can help in maintaining and keeping your white teeth white after cleaning procedures, whether it's after the daily periodical cleaning or  after doing a professional teeth whitening at the dentist.

The head of    " Wake Forest Baptist Dental Department " Dr. Raymond Garrison said: "A lot of people who do  whitening teeth procedures, whether it's a professional one or at home are wondering how to keep their teeth white."
He added that there are different foods that help a person in maintaining and keeping their teeth white, eating these foods will even prevent them from seeking professional teeth whitening or bleaching at the dentist.

Dr. Garrison said: "solid fruits and vegetables such as apples, green beans, broccoli, carrots and celery help to clean teeth during the chewing process, even that these foods help to increase the excretion of saliva, which reduces the effect of acids in the mouth and protects the teeth."

In addition, the calcium-rich dairy products and cheese keeps your teeth white, because of the lactic acid in these products that helps in preventing cavities.

What not to do:

On the other hand, among the experts they say that people should avoid or reduce their consumption of foods and drinks that cause tooth discolouration, such as cigarettes, soy sauce, soft drinks, red and white wine and blueberries.
